Furukawa Magnet Wire Business in North America
The Furukwa Electric Company started our Magnet Wire Business in North America in 1988 together with Essex Group Inc., as a joint venture company “FEMCO MAGNET WIRE CORPORATION (FEMCO)”.
We have been supplying round insulated copper magnet (winding) wire and the precise rectangular wire to the Japanese automakers US manufacturing locations with the same high quality and reliability as products supplied in Japan.
In September 2008, American Furukawa Inc (AFI) took over magnet wire business in the United States. Manufacturing continued in the original FEMCO facility, which is now owned and operated by Superior Essex Corporation.
Dedicated to the highest quality and service, AFI works to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
